The Beach House is a 2 storey home on the Atlantic shore. 2 large rental rooms overlooking the sea are rented separately and are accessed by a private stairway. Each with full bath, queen-sized bed, futon couch/double bed; kitchenette with sink, mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker. Shared chest freezer, gas barbeque and clam boiler; fire pit on shore.
A low deck overlooks a sand and pebble beach framed by rock and bordered on the east by a fresh water brook. Just west of the property, over the cape, lies Point Michaud Beach, a marvellous 3 km sand beach. Michaud Point, at the extreme end of the beach, offers the perfect picnic destination, complete with seal and bird sightings, gorgeous coastal scenery.
Bed linens, towels, kitchen and dining utensils are provided.
The ground floor of the building houses Grey Seal Weaving Studio; the weaver is happy to give you a tour. Lessons can be arranged for stays of a week or longer.
Activities range from day trips to kayak lessons on the Bras d'Ors; from surf lessons on the beach to just sitting and watching the waves. Join us on Cape Breton's spectacular Atlantic coast.
